Celebrate 30 Years Of Everyone's Favorite Blue Hedgehog With Sonic Symphony World Tour Coming This Year

The Sonic Symphony is going on the road with the Sonic Symphony World Tour. This special concert, presented by MGP Live, will feature a variety of tunes from the franchise’s nearly 32-year history performed by a symphony orchestra and a rock band. The tour was announced on the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter.

More details were also revealed on the show’s website:

"Get ready to run down memory lane at Sonic speed! Sonic Symphony is an immersive live experience that celebrates more than three decades of music from SEGA’s iconic mascot. From the classic 8-bit and 16-bit tunes to rock and EDM songs, this concert will take you on a musical journey through the colorful world of Sonic the Hedgehog. Relive your favorite Sonic moments, brought to life by a full symphony orchestra. Sonic Symphony will be an electrifying tribute to the music that has defined generations of gamers, old and new. Don’t miss the chance to experience the sounds of Sonic like never before!”

There will also purportedly be “special guests” who these guests will be is yet to be revealed. Furthermore, the rock band that will be playing with the orchestra also has yet to be revealed.

Fans could speculate it to be Crush 40, one of the bands most associated with the Sonic franchise, but nothing has been confirmed at this point. The tour will kick off in London in the Barbica Theater on September 16th and in Los Angeles on September 30th in the Dolby Theater.

Presales for both events will begin on May 25th, while general ticket sales will begin on May 26th. No other tour dates have been announced at this time.
