Critical Role's 'Candela Obscura' Chapter 2 Premiere Will Be Shown In Cinemark Theaters

Critical Role has been branching out of the classic Dungeons and Dragons 5e roleplaying game. Through their own publishing company, Darrington Press, they have published some strategy board games and recently announced some new RPGS. One of the RPGs they have recently released is a horror-based RPG titled Candela Obscura. The series is streamed on their Twitch channel on the last Thursday of every month. The first chapter of the new series just wrapped up, and chapter 2 premieres August 31st. Critical Role however had some exciting news for Critters in their most recent newsletter, with the announcement that the first part of chapter 2 of Candela Obscura can also be seen in Cinemark Theaters across the country.
Candela Obscura Chapter 2: Circle Of Needle and Thread will follow new characters played by familiar faces. The second chapter will follow players Travis Willingham, Marisha Ray, Brennan Lee Mulligan, Zehra Fazal, and Luis Carazo. They will be led by Gamemaster and lead designer of Candela Obscura, Spenser Starke. Taliesin Jaffe will reprise his role as Lightkeeper.

Select Cinemark theaters across the US will broadcast the show simultaneously with the Twitch stream. This is not the first time Critical Role has been seen in theaters. They have teamed up with Cinemark for special events and anniversaries, such as the recent Mighty Nein Reunion, and the premiere of The Legend Of Vox Machina season 2. For those who miss the original broadcast, the VOD and podcast will be available on YouTube two weeks after the premiere.
