Disney Drops New 'Tron: Ares' Trailer

The last time we got a Tron movie was back in 2010 with the release of Tron: Legacy. Now, 15 years later, a new film in the franchise is being released, Tron: Ares. The movie is technically a sequel to Tron: Legacy, but it could also be considered a reboot, given its new story and cast of characters. Disney just dropped a new trailer for the upcoming film, and it looks amazing.
The trailer begins with a voiceover from a businessman discussing AI, and then introduces our main character, Ares, played by Jared Leto. This movie is coming out at the perfect time, given the current surge in AI. He is essentially a super soldier and is not only super strong but also super intelligent. He, however, is not human, and if he gets defeated on the battlefield, he disintegrates, but don’t worry, another one can be created again and again. It seems that Ares becomes self-aware and wants to live. There's so much red in all of the tech they use, and it looks awesome.

It definitely looks different from the previous film, but not in a bad way. It has a new story and a new cast of characters, except for Jeff Bridges, who is reprising his role from Tron and Tron: Legacy as Kevin Flynn.
