Eleventh 'Saw' Movie To Be Directed By Mike P. Nelson

The eleventh Saw movie has seen a bit of a tumultuous journey. After receiving the highest critical success of any film in the franchise by a mile, as well as a big box office haul, not to mention a slight cliffhanger ending, it seemed to be a foregone conclusion that we’d get the eleventh film in the franchise sooner rather than later.
At first that seemed to be true, with an announcement that we’d get a new film the following year, but that fell through, and the film was ultimately cancelled.

But one can never keep a good, profitable horror franchise down. We’re now officially set to get Saw XI. Mike P. Nelson, who recently directed the Silent Night, Deadly Night remake, is set to direct. More interestingly, Leigh Whannel and James Wan are set to produce. The two of them created the groundbreaking original film, so if anybody has a vested interest in making the film as good as possible, it’s them. So far we have no indications on when the film will come out, what it’s about or even if it’s titled Saw XI. Either way, it’ll be interesting to see how Jigsaw makes the blood flow again.
