Board games are enjoying a golden age. A person would be hard-pressed to find someone who hasn’t heard of games like Settlers of Catan, or the likes of Caracassone. It’s a growing industry and many are looking to cash in on it.

Enter Disney, who’ve been making forays into the market for a few years now. Just recently they launched their new trading card game Lorcana, and if you peruse the shelves at stores like Target you’ll likely see the numerous iterations of their Villainous game put out by Ravensburger. It is no longer restricted to just Disney films, with related games in the Marvel and Star Wars universes. Now, two more games will join the growing lineup.

To celebrate the 100-year anniversary that Disney has been doing all year long, the first is a Disney 100 edition of Villainous: Introduction to Evil. According to the release of the games, the Disney 100 edition features shiny new figures representing some well-known villains: Ursula, Prince John, Maleficent, and Captain Hook. It also includes instructions for a smooth introduction to the gameplay for those who haven’t played yet.

That’s not all, however, as they will be releasing the first ever single villain expansion, this one themed on Oogie Boogie from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Inspired by the antagonist’s penchant for gambling, this new expansion introduces a new mechanic for Oogie players, where his villain cards have players roll dice to supplement the card effects.

The Disney 100 edition is available now, and Oogie Boogie’s Filled With Fright expansion will be available this October, just in time for Halloween.
