WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE MANDALORIAN SEASON 3

Season 3 of The Mandalorian wrapped up on April 19th with a bang. After the climactic battle which ended with the possible death of a major enemy and the official adoption of Grogu by Din, fans are left in anticipation of the duo’s future adventures and what is to come in Season 4. There is not much information, but Disney and Lucasfilm have discussed a few details.

There will be a fourth season despite the storylines seemingly wrapped up at the end of Season 3. In an interview with BFMTV INSIDE this past February, Jon Favreau confirmed not only its existence but its progress too. Favreau said that he has already written it, and mapped out the story with Dave Filoni so that they know the direction to take these stories.

The fourth season is supposed to come out before Filoni’s Star Wars movie. As that is looking at a 2026 release window, the next season of The Mandalorian could be looking at a 2025 release. It will be a waiting game until then.

Regarding the plot of Season 4, Variety reports that it will reflect the first season: one-off adventures with the father/son duo, joined by ranger Carson Teva to root out Imperial remnants in the Outer Rim. This is highly plausible considering the development of Teva’s character this season.

The wait may be long for the fourth season of The Mandalorian, but there will be other Star Wars content in the meantime! The highly-anticipated second season of Star Wars: Visions hits Disney+ on May 4th. The wait for Ahsoka (or what many are jokingly calling Star Wars Rebels Season 5) is also almost over with an August 2023 release. Jon Watts’ Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is also slated for release sometime in 2023.

All episodes of The Mandalorian are available to stream on Disney+.
