Now at the age of 80 years old, Harrison Ford has been working in the film industry for almost 60 years and is coming back for the fifth installment of the Indiana Jones saga, namely Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which is set to release on June 30, 2023.

Who knew that at his age Ford would accept to film an action movie once again, fifteen years after the release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? Well, probably Ford more than anyone. The actor recently spoke to journalist Mark Malkin from Variety at the premiere of his new Apple TV+ mini-series, Shrinking, saying, “I always wanted to do it,” because “he wanted to do the rest of the story to see the end of his career.”

Ford’s commitment to the character and the franchise is rather impressive and admirable. The love he possesses for his character made him come back and even made him perform some of his stunts, to the point where he injured himself during production in the United Kingdom while rehearsing a fight scene.

Alongside Ford, this movie also stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, Boyd Holbrook, Mads Mikkelsen, Toby Jones, John Rhys-Davies, Sam Sharma, and Thomas Kretschmann. As of this writing, the plot of the movie is still being kept under wraps and only rumors about the end of the movie have been leaked so far.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is set to be released on June 30, 2023. In the meantime, you can watch Ford playing senior therapist Dr. Paul Rhodes in the drama comedy Shrinking, his new mini-series streaming on Apple TV+.
