Futurama, the hit adult animated TV series from Simpsons creator Matt Groening has been picked up by the streaming service Hulu for an additional two seasons, consisting of ten episodes apiece. The show had been brought back before, with more seasons coming out even after its original fourth season ended. With this latest announcement, we can look forward to seasons 13 and 14. The latest revival happened in 2022 and brought back all of the original cast of the show. The second half of the ordered revival episodes are expected to air in 2024.

The fact that the show keeps getting renewed for more seasons shows how beloved these characters are. They’ve joined the pantheon of other animated characters who will seemingly always be around such as the boys in South Park, the Griffin family from Family Guy, and, of course, the titular characters in The Simpsons. If the latest revival continues to be a success, there’s no reason we won’t see even more Futurama ordered. Who knows what the future will bring (no pun intended) but at the moment, we have at least three more seasons of Fry and the gang to look forward to.
