According to Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam, who hosted a press conference on the accident, the 52-year-old actor was run over by his snow-plowing machine after attempting to help a relative who was trapped in snow near his house in Reno. The actor lost control of the 14,000-lb snowcat when he was trying to get back in the driver’s seat.

Fans have shown incredible support to the actor since the terrible event occurred and, in response, Renner has been posting more information about his accident and his recovery journey on social media. Before this most recent update, the actor revealed that he broke no less than 30 bones and suffered severe orthopedic and chest injuries in an update last month.

We wish the best of recoveries to Jeremy Renner.
