During an interview with Access Hollywood promoting Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, actress Evangeline Lilly shared Jeremy Renner is continuing to use a wheelchair during his recovery after his New Year’s Day incident after being run over by a snowplow.

Recently, Lilly visited Renner’s home and shared he has “recovered like a mofo” from his intense injuries. She said, “I was just at Jeremy’s house the other night, and he was in a wheelchair.” Lilly continued, “I walked in his house and … I was like, why are you mobile? What is happening? I expected to sit at his bedside and hold his hand while he moaned and groaned in pain and wasn’t able to move. He was wheeling himself around, laughing with his friends.” Lilley went as far as to describe his recovery as “a straight-up miracle.”

Renner was injured on New Year's Day by attempting to stop a 13,000-pound PistenBully before it potentially struck his nephew, according to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Department.

“He had a near-death experience that was highly traumatic, and he was awake for the whole thing. It really has stuck with me,” Lilly remarked. “He’s got a journey to go through now. That’s what nightmares are made out of, and he lived through it, and he’s on the other side now. He is recovering incredibly, and I’m so grateful,” she concluded.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania opens in theatres on February 17, 2023.
