Jim Lee Promoted To President And CCO Of DC Comics

Having worked with the likes of Marvel, and DC, and co-founded Image Comics, Jim Lee is a name that is instantly recognizable among comic book fans. Having started as an illustrator for Marvel's Alpha Flight comic series, he quickly garnered fame due to his unique and instantly recognizable art style. From these humble beginnings, Lee has risen high in the industry but has now reached the top.

On May 3rd, 2023 Jim Lee was officially announced as the President of DC Comics. He will continue to act as Chief Creative Officer and Publisher for the company. Through his role as Chief Creative Officer, Lee is leading the charge in integrating DC's stories through all forms of media. Lee will also continue to act as the sole Publisher for the comic company, following the departure of Co-Publisher Dan Didio back in 2020. 

Lee has been a pivotal part of the reshaping of DC comics throughout the last few decades. Having a heavy hand in the New 52 revamp as well as Rebirth which both saw a complete reboot of the DC Universe and its characters. With Gunn and Safran heading the films and Jim Lee running the comics, it's an exciting time to be a DC fan.
