With the Ted Lasso series finale arriving soon, one of its stars is looking forward to future roles. Juno Temple, who plays the role of soccer assistant Keeley Jones in the Apple TV series, may be teaming up with Tom Hardy to star in an unknown role in Venom 3. The actress received Emmy and SAG nominations for every season of Ted Lasso and will advance her career with a lead role in the fifth season of Fargo.

As Temple negotiates her contract with Venom 3, Kelly Marcel, a writer for the previous two Venom films will try her hand at directing the third installment. Marcel and Hardy worked together to create the story which Marcel will turn into a screenplay. Marcel and Hardy will also produce the movie with help from producers Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker.

Details for the new Venom film have been sparse, with the only confirmed role being Tom Hardy as the titular character. As contracts are still being negotiated, there’s no release date yet. It’s unknown if Sony's new Spider-Verse movie will factor into the story at all or if Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will find his way into the Venom-verse. Both Hardy and Holland made cameo appearances in post-credits scenes for the other’s franchise, so a crossover wouldn’t be a stretch. While waiting for Venom 3, fans can stream the first two films on Hulu and see Temple’s talent on display in Ted Lasso on Apple TV.
