Legendary's 'Street Fighter' Movie Could Have Walton Goggins As Its M. Bison

Hollywood’s reboot obsession is stepping back into the ring—literally, with Capcom’s hit video game Street Fighter. The game has been one of the most popular gaming franchises of all time; however, it’s live. The live-action films have struggled since the 1994 Street Fighter adaptation, starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, which has found a cult following in recent years; however, the 2009 Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li has been found very difficult to watch, to say the least.

Bad Trip’s Kitao Sakurai will do the directing duties for the upcoming reboot. And casting rumors for the film are beginning to pick up masked country singer Orville Peck is reportedly signed up to play the clawed Vega, while they always unhinged, Eric Andre will play the role of the games, hyped up announcer however, the largest rumor comes from insider, Jeff Snyder, who has it on good authority that Walton Goggins is in talks to play the villain M. Bison.

Goggins has had a very packed schedule, stealing almost every scene in The Righteous Gemstones as Uncle Baby Billy and surviving a post-apocalyptic world in Amazon’s Fallout. Of course, his casting in the third season of The White Lotus has continued his moment in the sun.

Other casting announcements include warriors Andrew Koji and Noah Centineo, who are rumored to portray Ryu and Ken, as well as WWE’s star Roman Reigns and Jason Momoa, who are circling roles for Akuma and Blanka.

With how things are currently shaping up with this reboot, it looks as though this new Street Fighter film will have some fight in it this time.
