The Fourth of July isn’t for another couple of months, but already there’s something patriotic on the horizon. Actor Leslie Odom Jr. is returning to his role of Aaron Burr in the musical play Hamilton, on Broadway for a limited run. This run comes during the tenth anniversary of the play’s debut on August 6, 2015, and after Odom left the role he originated in 2016. Lin Manuel Miranda, creator of the play and the original Alexander Hamilton, has this to say, “Well, if it isn't Aaron Burr… Welcome back (Odom), I can't wait to see you again.”

Lesie Odom Jr. himself has spoken about his return to Hamilton. He is on record as saying, “Returning to Hamilton is a deeply meaningful homecoming. I’m so grateful for the chance to step back into the room—especially during this anniversary moment—and to revisit this brilliant piece that forever changed my life and the lives of so many.” Fans are sure to welcome the original Aaron Burr back with open arms, as the production is set to run from September 9 until November 23. This limited run will be performed at the Richard Rodgers Theatre; if any readers are in New York City, maybe try and check it out
