Linda Cardellini Teams Up For Bill Hader's New Film 'They Know'

They know, you know, we know that this casting news sounds very exciting! Nexus Point News has reported that Linda Cardellini is in talks to join Bill Hader’s new film project, They Know. While plot details are currently unknown, the film is said to be about a man (Hader) who has recently separated from his wife (Cardellini), and he comes to believe that she and his children are being influenced by a next-door neighbor.

A prolific character actress, Linda Cardellini broke through with the short-lived NBC series Freaks and Geeks in 1999. She continued to have steady work throughout the 2000s with her roles as Velma Dinkley in the live-action Scooby-Doo movies and Samantha Taggert in ER. Cardellini’s other notable credits include Wendy in Gravity Falls, Meg Rayburn in Bloodline, her dual roles as Laura Barton and Lylla in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sylvia Rosen in Mad Men, and Judy Hale in Dead to Me, for which she earned Emmy nominations for both. She’ll next be seen in the role of Pamela Voorhees in the Friday the 13th prequel series, Crystal Lake.

Bill Hader is best known for his 8-season run on Saturday Night Live, which he’s also hosted twice since his departure in 2013. Hader is also known for his roles as adult Richie Tozier in IT Chapter Two, Flint Lockwood in Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Fear in Inside Out, Alpha 5 in Power Rangers, and BB-8 in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a role he shared with Ben Schwartz. Bill Hader’s most acclaimed work is the HBO dramedy series Barry, for which he won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. He also received 4 nominations for writing and 4 for directing. In addition to starring in They Know, Hader will write and direct the film, making it his highly anticipated feature directorial debut.
