“Face Front, True Believers!” Spider-Man: Brand New Day has just added Liza Colón-Zayas to the cast. Colón-Zayas, best known for her work on FX’s The Bear as line cook Tina Marrero, is joining an ensemble with Tom Holland as Peter and Sadie Sink, as well as the possible return of Zendaya and Jacob Batalon as Michelle Jones Watson and Ned Leeds. The Emmy Award-winning actress’s role is not currently known, though we can expect a supporting role at the very least. We have high hopes for Colón-Zayas in whatever role she ends up playing and what she might add to this upcoming film.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige producing for Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios, respectively. Production is scheduled to begin this year, with Sony Pictures releasing the film on July 31, 2026. Brand New Day will be coming after 2019’s No Way Home, and will follow up on that film’s turning point for the character. With great expectations comes a great potential for disappointment, but we’ll let you be the judge of that when it comes out. Until then, we will be here for any further updates about the project.
