'Loki' Composer Natalie Holt Scored The Infinity Vision Fanfare

Even logos need great music! It’s been confirmed that Emmy nominated composer Natalie Holt with score the fanfare for the Infinity Vision logo!

Marvel Studios is no stranger to finding immensely talented composers to create fanfares for their opening logos. Their first original fanfare debuted in 2013 and was scored by Brian Tyler, who scored Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World (the film the fanfare debuted in), and Avengers: Age of Ultron (alongside Danny Elfman). In 2016, a new fanfare was commissioned, composed by Michael Giacchino, who holds the record for scoring the most MCU projects with a total of 9. The now-iconic fanfare debuted in Doctor Strange and has appeared in nearly every MCU film since. A shortened version of the fanfare has been used for logos for Marvel Television and Marvel Animation. Giacchino has also provided the logo music for Marvel Special Presentations and Marvel Spotlight. Infinity Vision is Marvel’s certification program to inform audiences of premium screenings for Avengers Endgame: Encore and Avengers: Doomsday. Many speculate this was done after Dune: Part Three received three weeks of exclusive access to IMAX screens.

While working professionally in music since 2005, Natalie Holt had her breakthrough in 2021 with the hit Marvel series Loki. Holt received two Primetime Emmy Awards nominations for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score) and Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music, though lost to Theodore Shapiro for Severance and Cristobal Tapia de Veer for The White Lotus, respectively. Her score for both seasons of Loki received widespread critical acclaim and is considered by fans to be amongst the best MCU scores ever made. Holt also provided most of the score for the Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi, but due to multiple factors during production, some of her score was replaced by new compositions by William Ross and a new main theme by John Williams. Holt’s side of the score received negative reception from critics and fans. Last year, Natalie Holt reunited with Loki creator Michael Waldron on the hit Hulu series Chad Powers, which premiered its second season this past Tuesday. Infamously, Holt was chosen to score Adil & Bilal’s Batgirl and even collaborated with Danny Elfman to include his Batman theme before the film was shelved and deleted by Warner Bros. as a tax write-off. Footage of Holt conducting sessions for the Infinity Vision fanfare was uploaded to her Instagram, but has since been deleted. The footage is still viewable on Twitter.

Natalie Holt’s Infinity Vision fanfare will debut with Avengers Endgame: Encore, which flies into theaters on September 25th.
