The Mandalorian is the undisputed king of Disney+ this weekend as The Mandalorian and Grogu is the #1 most-streamed film on Disney+ in 73 countries! It is safe to say that Din Djarin and Grogu have taken over Disney+ all over the world, and not just that, but the LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian special and The Mandalorian and Grogu Official Podcast have also performed extremely well on the streaming platform. The podcast is currently number one in the U.S., while the LEGO special is in the top 2 in the majority of countries where Disney+ is available. This is a triumphant homecoming for Din and Grogu, after the movie didn’t do as well at the U.S box office. It was a massive success in Japan, where it has been in theaters for over 100 days, surpassing the record for the longest run for a Disney-era Star Wars film in Japan, held by The Force Awakens.

Lucasfilm’s focus has shifted to Star Wars: Starfighter, which releases next year, and before that, the highly anticipated second season of Ahsoka, starring Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, Eman Esfandi, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo. For now, they haven’t revealed Jon Favreau’s plans for the future of The Mandalorian. However, there is definitely a demand for more Mando, and a loyal audience that wants to see The Mandalorian Season 4. Favreau has always maintained that he has many ideas for more storylines featuring Din Djarin and Grogu, and the positive response to the movie and the LEGO special on Disney+ is a sign that the series will always have a loyal and eager following online. The Mandalorian and Grogu is streaming on Disney+, and Ahsoka Season 2 premieres in January.
