Rick and Morty is back with a brand new trailer for Season 9. The trailer opens with Rick dragging Morty out of bed. It then transitions to the characters battling couch cushions, some alien race that may drag Morty into a rebellion, breakfast drugs, and other absurd obstacles. Rick and Morty has been renewed through Season 12, leading to Rick’s quip at the end of the trailer: “Season nine, baby. Only an indefinite number more.” The official synopsis for the season humorously states, “Rick and Morty is back, baby! Season Nine is all certified bangers. No AI slop! Just Grade A organic slop, made by real humans with real human traits like back hair and cysts. Please watch, or we’ll have neglected our families for nothing.”

In addition to three more seasons of Rick and Morty, which has survived eight seasons and a scandal involving series co-creator and original voice for the titular characters Justin Roiland, a spin-off centered around President Curtis is in development. Dan Harmon, the other co-creator is hard at work pumping out more content. He even admitted that he has people “whose very job is to remember which Rick is from which dimension.” Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden now voice Rick and Morty respectively, joined by Chris Parnell as Jerry, Spencer Grammar as Summer, and Sarah Chalke as Beth. Rick and Morty returns to Adult Swim channels across Europe on May 25. Check out the trailer below.
