'Percy Jackson & The Olympians' To Release December 20 On Disney+

Percy Jackson News (@updatespercy) announced on X on September 18th that the upcoming series Percy Jackson & The Olympians is going to be released on December 20th. There are currently 8 episodes scheduled, with both the pilot and the second episode set to release on the 20th.

The series is based on a series of fantasy books written by Rick Riordan. The books The Lightning Thief (2005), The Sea of Monsters (2006), The Titan’s Curse (2007), The Battle of The Labyrinth (2008), The Last Olympian (2009), and The Chalice of The Gods (2023) follow Demigod child Percy Jackson as he attempts to stop war among Olympian Gods. The TV series will star Walker Scobell as the titular character and also feature Aryan Simhadri, Leah Jeffries, Threnody Tsai, Jason Gray-Stanford, Jelena Milinkovic, Ryan Cowie, and Timothy Omundson among others in supporting roles.

The series is confirmed to be live-action. It will be streamed exclusively on Disney+.
