While promoting his newest series The Shards, Murphy was asked about a potential reboot of his 2009 musical dramedy Glee. Murphy said to People Magazine "Well, I loved them all. I had a great time making that show.” He continued, “That show is interesting because it’s come back around. So many young people now watch it. And I’m like, ‘Maybe we should revisit that show.’” This is not the first time Murphy has expressed in rebooting Glee, as he expressed his desire to revisit the property with a revival or a Broadway musical back in 2022.
