With Scream 7 having earned over $200 million at the global box office, it should be no surprise that Scream 8 is on the way. Spyglass has already named the writers for the next instalment of the franchise. The sisters are known as Lilla and Nora Zuckerman. Having served as showrunners for Peacock’s Poker Face series, along with writing for the likes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Prodigal Son, it should be a winning combination.
Spyglass will again be hoping for success with Scream 8 after the seventh broke franchise records. That $200 million at the global box office put it at the highest grossing in the franchise. Scream 7 also holds the global opening debut at $97.2 million. Kevin Williamson returned to the franchise as a director, with actress Neve Campbell also returning. Alongside her starred Anna Camp, Courtney Cox, Matthew Lillard, Isabel May, and Joel McHale.
No further details on Scream 8 are known, but with this year being the 30th anniversary of the franchise, new details on this eighth instalment could be shared throughout the year. With Scream 7 having already released this year, the celebrations for that anniversary are off to a great start. But there could always be more, right?\
