Robert Pattinson has the confirmation that The Batman fans have been waiting for since 2022. Matt Reeves’s highly anticipated sequel, The Batman: Part II, is gearing up for production. During an interview on the French channel France TV, Pattinson revealed that he’ll start doing Batman-related stuff as soon as the press tour for The Drama ends, which is in about a week. He told C à vous, "I'm so excited about doing it again. We'll probably finish this press tour in a week, and then I'll immediately start doing Batman stuff. The new script is so, so good.
Pattinson’s statement confirms earlier news that production on Part II will start in May. A week more of doing press for The Drama means it’ll likely be mid-April by the time the Batman actor starts doing Batman stuff. He hasn’t revealed what he’ll actually do, but based on his recent appearances, fans have a good idea of what he'll look like in the movie. Pattinson has grown his hair out and looks lean and athletic for Part II. He gained weight and muscle for the first film, suggesting that Part II may feature a different suit, and Bruce Wayne may spend more time outside the suit than in it. Scarlett Johannsen and Sebastian Stan have joined the cast for the sequel. Pattinson will be joined by Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, and Paul Dano, who were also a part of the first film. The Batman: Part II releases in theaters on October 1, 2027.
