'Warhammer 40,000' Reveals A Secret End-Edition Narrative And You Won't Believe Who's In It

Hot on the heels of the flawless livestream where Games Workshop revealed so much about the future of Warhammer, a surprise announcement was released earlier this Wednesday morning right at the very start of April.

Games Workshop wants their players to know that they care about the T’au, not the stinky ol’ Kroot they just dumped on everyone during 10th Edition. So, we’re getting a refreshed look at the T’au through a return to Taros, where the T’au will need to close ranks and get those long-range guns out to cut down dozens of charging foes.

Sixth Sphere Contraction: The Sands of Taros will see the T’au garrisons of Taros put to the test in a new gamemode where a limited T’au force with cover, faces down charging Space Marines without cover who can only melee their opponents. Can the T’au possibly succeed or will the Space Marines completely grind them into a paste and kick them all off of Taros?

Leading the Ultramarines contingent of the Imperium’s bestest boys is Marneus Calgar, while the Blood Angels are led by Mephiston, rounded out by a horrible new sculpt of Space Wolf Primarch Leman Russ, bizarrely turning up on a desert planet to fight T’au rather than in a big, glossy, end-of-days conflict like one might have expected.

Facing off against the Space Marines’ tireless advance are the Twin Lance, alongside new models, the Triplet Trebuchet, and battleline units like Really Big Gun Shooters and Wow-I-Am-Holding-A-Miniaturized-Rail-Cannon Troops.

When asked for comment about what the hell was going on, CultureSlate said April Fools! This isn’t a real bit of Warhammer news, but we’ll be keeping everyone up to date on genuine major announcements for Warhammer video games and tabletop news in the future!
