'Warhammer 40,000' Reveals From Adepticon 2026

Commissar Yarrick returns in the latest, and final, narrative event of 10th edition Warhammer 40K

After a large amount of teases which teed many up for what would be revealed, followed by some fairly egregious technology issues for the first half of their livestream, Games Workshop has finally revealed the last end-edition narrative storyline for Warhammer 40K alongside several other unique offerings.

The recent reveal of a model for Commissar Yarrick, a legendary commissar thought dead by the Imperium of Man, has been joined by the arrival of three more leaders for the embattled humans of Armageddon. First, there is another Commissar, Thenia Graves, who has joined the fight to drive the Imperium forward toward victory.

Uniquely, she can be built as either an infantry-style figure with a base covered in ruins, or she can be built within her personalised transport vehicle called “Vigilance.” Joining the two Commissars is Inquisitor Kroyle, a hunter of large creatures and xenos who has arrived on Armageddon to try and cut the momentum of the invading Orks through the assassination of their biggest members. Riding atop his rare xenos steed, he isn’t the only mounted ally as lastly, Adepta Sororitas Dogmata Superior Intranzia Fraye, seated upon her Throne of Blame, is here to pick out the enemies of the God Emperor and his servants for special, lethal, attention by her forces.

Alongside these leader characters, who have all been sculpted beautifully, the Astra Militarum are receiving two new vehicles, the truck-like Centaur RSV and an armored fighting vehicle, the Hippogriff AFV. Against these new army vehicles stands the Orks, and in particular, the leader of the ongoing efforts on Armageddon: Ork Warlord Wazdakka Gutsmek. A Speed Freek Ork who has existed in the lore for years without a model, he is now rendered fantastically with his immense bike, “Big Revva.” The clash of these different forces, though admittedly the Orks don’t get many shiny new toys themselves (yet), is taking place in the narrative campaign book Armageddon: The Return of Yarrick

Just like 500 Worlds: Titus, The Maelstrom: Lair of the Tyrant, and the also soon-to-come Admech vs. Iron Warriors-focused Eye of Terror: The Reign of Iron, this expansion will provide new background lore, an additional way to play the game, and more Detachments to some of the armies engaged on the planet’s wartorn surface. There are also four Battalion box sets coming to provide a starting point or support for people’s armies, if they want to get involved in this conflict for themselves in fights with friends. This is also the final end-edition narrative release prior to the arrival of 11th Edition this summer.

Cadian soldiers face off against a huge, lethal, Tyranid organism

A new Killteam set is also being released alongside two additional, old, foes. Kill Team: Terror on Devlan will pit a new set of 10 Cadian soldiers against the Red Terror, a legendary Tyranid horror of old (and we mean OLD) who arrives in the modern Imperium of Man with a gorgeous new model. Related to this release is the forthcoming release of Kill Team: Nemesis Operatives, a new book explaining ways to run Nemesis Operatives in one’s game of Kill Team. These single, large, enemy units provide unique obstacles as all ten units on your team fight against a single foe, or seek to accomplish objectives, avoiding said foe. Nemesis Operatives releases alongside two other models previously seen in Warhammer Quest: the menacing force of nature that is the Ambull, and the strange Zoat operative known as The Archivist.

There’s even more Warhammer news to come as 11th Edition Warhammer 40K approaches, so we hope you’ll join us for more breakdowns of all of this information and more in the coming weeks!
