A New Clip From 'Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord' Has Been Released

A new clip has been released for Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord through IGN!

A short segment just over a minute long, the clip shows Rook Kast, Icarus, Scorn, and other muscle from Maul’s outfit seeming to have shaken police pursuers on Jannix after committing a major robbery. However, they’re detected, and the police spring an ambush on them alongside what seems to be several droid companion officers. When the police demand the crew drop their weapons, they do so ruefully, as marching off the escape shuttle comes Maul.

Pulling out his saber, he proceeds to devastate the officers in front of him, while his allies immediately pick up their blasters and pick off further police forces. Maul at last leaps forward and puts an end to the life of the focal officer, no doubt a compatriot to police detective Captain Brander Lawson.

The scene is likely an early one in the show, either during Episode 1 or 2 of the ten-episode series, and makes clear that Maul’s forces have total trust in him, while also highlighting how no one on Jannix, at least right now, can stand against Maul. The action was as visceral as ever, while the "Duel of the Fates" (though slightly tweaked) ingrained into Maul’s identity plays when he arrives to cut down the forces who seek to foil his crew’s robbery attempt.
