Another MCU Alum may be joining The Batman Part II. Matt Reeves is in talks with Sebastian Stan, best known as Buck Barnes/The Winter Soldier, for the latter to appear in The Batman sequel. This comes after the confirmation of Scarlett Johansson, who will play Black Widow in a new role for the film, joining a cast that includes Robert Pattinson as Batman himself. DC Studios has not yet commented at the time of writing, so take this with a grain of salt. Still, fans should be excited to see Stan enter the world of Kane and Finger.

The Batman was a financial success, grossing $369.3 million at the domestic box office and $772M worldwide, so it’s no surprise that a sequel has been greenlit. Production is scheduled to begin in the spring and is targeting a release on October 1, 2027. Matt Reeves is back in the director’s chair, with James Gunn, Peter Sarafan, and Dylan Clark co-producing. If Sebastian Stan joins, it will be the latest in a series of superhero flicks, after a lengthy run as Bucky Barnes, Captain America’s sidekick turned brainwashed Winter Soldier. We’ll just have to wait to know if and how he’ll join Batman's world.
