Galaxy's Edge Is Adding Pink Milk To Its Menu

The galaxy far, far away has many different kinds of milk, some consider to be…unnatural. But, they’re also a quirky part of Star Wars’ DNA ever since blue milk first appeared in A New Hope, and add to the science-fantasy of the universe.
Galaxy’s Edge has scratched the itch of fans for blue milk and The Last Jedi’s green milk through the theme park’s Milk Stand. The chilled beverage isn’t just straight-up colored milk, though, but instead a blend of coconut and rice milk with a thicker-than-liquid consistency, perhaps closer to a milkshake. Each milk is also flavored, with blue milk noted as having “fruity characteristics”, while green milk has “zippy citrus and tropical characteristics”. But now, a new color (and flavor) has joined its brethren!
Pink milk first debuted in Star Wars: Sana Starros: Family Matters, a miniseries focusing on the titular Sana Starros reconnecting with her family and running into trouble with the Empire. The in-universe animal byproduct is an interesting reference to the Pink Milk Podcast, once run by husband and husband team Bryan and Tom, though the show appears to have abruptly stopped mid-2024. The podcast was devoted to talking about Star Wars, Queerly, and the comic’s writer, Justina Ireland, was once interviewed by Pink Milk, affirming the origin of the reference.

The ascension of pink milk from podcast title to a purchasable product at a Disney Parks food vendor is certainly a surprising one, but shows the interconnectivity of the Star Wars brand. Exactly how long pink milk will be present at Galaxy’s Edge is unclear, as is what flavor profile it will exhibit, though we have to assume this will not be a temporary drink and will help add a brighter color to a menu that once sat firmly in the cool spectrum of beverage hues.
