Star Trek Legends Announced For 'Star Trek: Khan' Scripted Podcast As Trailer Drops

The Star Trek universe is still going strong. There have been countless new shows, even one about Picard from The Next Generation, and it doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. During San Diego Comic-Con, the first trailer for Star Trek: Khan was released.
Star Trek: Khan will have Wrath of Khan director Nicholas Meyer returning to the franchise and focusing on one of the most iconic villains. Star Trek: Khan is a scripted podcast that will reveal the secret life of Khan Noonien Singh. The podcast will take place between the episodes that originally introduced Khan and his sequel film, Wrath of Khan. Naveen Andrews is playing the titular character in the podcast.

The podcast will also feature Wrenn Schmidt as Lieutenant Marla McGivers, who is the Starfleet historian who reluctantly aids Khan in his attempt to take over the Enterprise. Sonya Cassidy also joins as a new character, Doctor Rosalind Lear. That’s not all, however, as George Takei is returning to the franchise, and will be reprising his role as Hikaru Sulu, and will be joined by Voyager’s Tim Russ. Russ will be reprising his role as Tuvok.
Star Trek: Khan will release weekly episodes, starting September 8th.
