Metalheads and Star Wars fans come hither.  Galactic Empire, a John Williams and Star Wars tribute band, is releasing their third studio album in May.  Not only does this album come out on May 5th, but they’re putting on a show on the same day!  What could be better than puns, metal, and people sharing a common interest in the Star Wars universe?

This announcement comes with the release of a new single and music video.  ’The Mandalorian’ plays on the theme of The Mandalorian with rich guitar riffs and steady, solid drum beats.  The music video is a sight to see on its own.  Directed by Eric DiCarlo of Square Up Studios, the video shows the band playing in beautiful colors yet dim lighting, highlighting the armor the group wears.  The song is instrumental, but it keeps the viewers engaged; a group of dancers also in armor are featured in the center of the platform.

In a TikTok post, the band described these upcoming events very succinctly:

The Emperor has demanded we lay waste to your local system at Mickey's Black Box on May 5th to celebrate the release of our new album “Special Edition”. Special guests Eternal Frequency and If Not For Me will also be in appearance.”

Tickets are on sale right now for the show.  For more information about the group, visit their website linked below.
