As the announcements at Star Wars Celebration continue, Dave Filoni snuck in important news at the end of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars 15th Anniversary panel this past Sunday. During his banter with other panelists, he casually added that there would be a second season of Tales of the Jedi:

Tales of the Jedi was so fun the first time I decided to do some more.”

The first season of Tales of the Jedi was released on Disney+ back in October 2022. It consists of six self-contained episodes, three of which focused on Count Dooku’s fall to the dark side, while the other three filled in some of the blanks on the history of Ahsoka Tano. The show was a huge hit with both fans and critics, scoring a 100% approval rating from critics and a 93% approval rating from fans on Rotten Tomatoes, and a score of 8.2 on IMDb.

In her interview with Comicbook.com, Ashley Eckstein, who voices Ahsoka Tano in The Clone Wars, describes her experience while working on Tales of the Jedi:

"I was so excited because I had heard that these might be a possibility literally right at the beginning of COVID, right when the world shut down. And then as COVID dragged on, and I think we all wondered, ‘Is life ever going to get back to what it was before.’ I didn't know if these would still be a possibility because we were all working from home, so we would have to record the show all from different places. I don't know what their animation process was like, but I know in large part, a lot of people were still working from home. So when I eventually got the call that it was happening, I was just in disbelief and so excited. We did get to record together, but it was just via Zoom, but it was still so special to get the cast and crew back together."

As of now, no release date has been announced for the second season nor which characters will appear.
