Nintendo of America shared a new trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The trailer opens with Bowser working on a painting. When Luigi peeks his face in the window, the trailer reveals that Bowser is still miniature. He runs out to the balcony to show Mario and Luigi a painting of Peach with a burly Bowser, which Mario dismisses as trash. The insult brings a bit of the old Bowser’s wrath out, but he quickly cools down. The next shot features a whole sky of shooting stars above Princess Peach’s castle, with Mario and Peach looking up at them. Peach and Toad jump into a star portal that takes them to space, and presumably Mario and Luigi went too, as they’re shown racing motorcycles on some desert planet. Peach and Toad end up on a planet that’s mostly water as they fly past a swimming Blooper. Peach is also shown defending herself against enemies on a casino world.
The trailer reveals that Bowser Jr. will play a major role as he comes to take his father back from Mario. The trailer concludes with Princess Rosalina taking down a giant mech. Curiously, Yoshi never showed up in the trailer despite being teased at the end of the first film. Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Keegan-Michael Key will reprise their roles of Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Peach, and Toad. Brie Larson and Benny Safdie join the cast as Rosalina and Bowser Jr. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie hits theaters on April 3, 2026. Check out the full trailer below.
