The fifth season of Marvel Rivals, titled Love is a Battlefield, is rapidly approaching its release date, and fans were just given a sneak peek at a character being added! Remy LeBeau, AKA Gambit, is a new Strategist character being brought in. Gambit’s addition marks the ninth playable X-Men character, and the 44th playable hero overall. The Marvel Rivals YouTube channel released a short introduction video for the character, showing off a teaser of his abilities.

The trailer includes a description of the character, which delves into the lore of the season. It reads, “Remy LeBeau - better known as Gambit - has always been more than a charming thief.His Mutant gift lets him charge any object with explosive kinetic energy, but it's his wit and finesse that make him truly dangerous.” The driving force of the narrative is revealed: “After the Timestream Entanglement tore apart his wedding with Rogue, Gambit struck a deal with the Grandmaster himself: steal a priceless contract from the Collector, and receive Chronovium dice that could be forged into new wedding rings.”

The description wrapped up with a mission for Gambit, “Under the guise of an intergalactic honeymoon, Remy sets off on the ultimate heist - one that will spiral into cosmic chaos far beyond his wildest dreams.” Rogue will be joining the game later in the season. She will reportedly be playable, joining the list as the 10th playable X-Men character and the 45th overall hero. Specific details on her moves, strengths, and weaknesses are currently unavailable. The Battlepass running this season will be called the Grand Garden Adventure, sharing its name with the new map. At the end of November 2025, an anniversary event will drop, with more details coming as the release gets closer.

The wait won't be long for Remy’s arrival; season five of Marvel Rivals drops on November 14, 2025. Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play shooter game that places the player on a team to fight others. It is available on Windows, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and, recently, the PlayStation 4. It is cross-compatible between platforms.
