These Are The Post-Credits Scenes For 'Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania'

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was released this weekend. While not quite universal, it continues the tradition in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that there are post-credits scenes. One for the artistic set, considered the mid-credits scene, and the scrolling set, the true post-credits scene. Indeed, Quantumania has both, kind of.

The mid-credits scene brings us to a set of Kang variants convening, the Council of Kangs, which exists throughout the Multiverse much like the Wellses and Ricks. One member, the pharaoh-looking one is Rama-Tut. Another seems to be Immortus. Another is in a high-tech suit. In the wake of the apparent death of The Conqueror, they are alarmed by the heroes’ growing awareness of the multiverse and the threat of interference. They overlook the Sacred Timeline and all of its branches and incursions. They know now these heroes must be stopped, and the possible-Immortus says he’s summoned everyone as we see the colosseum filled with other Kang variants, pumped for the multiversal uprising.

The post-credits scene, well, it wasn’t born here. Remember the post-credits scene for the first Ant-Man? The excerpt from Captain America: Civil War with Steve and Sam having Bucky in custody, and Sam says he can get someone (Scott)? In the early 1900s, a man named Victor Timely, another Kang variant, presents an astounding machine to his audience. But it turns out that in that audience is… Loki and Mobius! That’s right, we might have a scene from the second season of Loki, the best look yet in fact. If it were to be guessed, this is no later than episode 2, because the Asgardian is still trying to jog Möbius’s memory of the other timeline from before Sylvie struck down He Who Remains. Mobius doesn’t understand why Timely is such a threat, but Loki’s worry continues to grow. One can presume that over the course of the second season, Möbius’s previous life will be restored to his memory.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is currently in theaters globally. Please also read the full CultureSlate review of the film.
