Tom Holland Pitched A Unique Story For 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'

Tom Holland has been our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man for over a decade and has been web-slinging around the MCU ever since. With Spider-Man: Brand New Day coming up, an interview with Empire revealed that he had made some contributions to the story. He explained that he and the producers would “meet once every two weeks to pitch ideas and discuss our ambitions and what we wanted to try and do.” He even had a hand in pitching what would become one of the plot points of the final film, Parker’s power growing in unexpected ways. “My pitch when I came to the table with it was called ‘Spider-Puberty’. What happens if Peter Parker is losing control and things are changing? ‘Spider-Puberty’ was my tagline pitch to the studio — which was immediately shot down, but they liked the kernel of the idea and it grew into what we have in the movie now.”
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is planned for a July 31 release this year. In addition to the “Spider-Puberty”, the film follows up on the events of No Way Home by showing what Parker is doing now that the world has forgotten he exists.
