During this month 18 years ago, Star Wars: The Clone Wars premiered on Cartoon Network. The film had been released two months prior, but October was the beginning of the TV series as we know it. Since then, the story has grown and evolved, giving us some of the most famous and iconic characters in the canon today (most notably, Ahsoka Tano, Captain Rex, and the return of Maul). Before the guys go on a hosting hiatus for a few weeks, they thought this episode was the perfect time for a Clone Wars appreciation episode!
But what is Star Wars Culture LIVE? Most Wednesdays, at 7:30pm Eastern, two die-hard Star Wars fans embark on a voyage of celebration and nerdiness on a positive podcast focused on the best of the Star Wars fandom. These characters are Ian Bowling (@NerdiestStepdad) and Marty Ingleston (@CoreWorldNetwork), and they’ve been the hosts of SWCL since August of 2024. Since then, the podcast has gone through numerous stages of evolution: “Top 3” favorites, dad jokes, “On This Day,” guest appearances, and many other types of segments. In this episode, the guys read and discuss Instagram comments of viewers’ favorite aspects of the Clone Wars series, and throw in their own “Top 3” at the end.
