A love triangle? In The Lord Of The Rings? It’s more likely than you think, especially in the upcoming season of The Rings Of Power. Jamie Campbell Bower is joining the show in its third season to play Celeborn, the husband of Galadriel. This could throw a wrench in the relationship dynamics we saw between Sauron and Galadriel in season 2, but according to the showrunners, this could instead introduce a complicated love triangle between the three of them.
There is also the question of what kind of love Galadriel has for Sauron. It’s complicated for sure, especially now with her husband in the mix, but all the time she spent with Halbrand, the two definitely developed a bond. She trusted him, and let him in to her heart and confidences, and even fought beside him. Charlie Vickers, who plays Sauron, admits that Sauron probably wasn’t listening to Galadriel’s rejection that closely, and that in his mind, Galadriel doesn’t reject him.

It also seems that Celeborn and Sauron will have their own relationship to play out in the upcoming season as well. Vickers confirmed that the two will meet in the third season, and when they do, it will seem like it wasn’t the first time either.
Whatever happens between the three of them, it will be exciting to watch their dynamic.
