As viewers tuned in to see the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII this past Sunday, they were in for a treat as another trailer for Season 3 of The Mandalorian was dropped during the broadcast. This brief commercial showed a taste of what we can expect during the upcoming season.

The 30-second spot begins with Greef Karga saying “I heard you were back,” and he approached Din Djarin. Appropriate words for the beginning of the new season,  since it has been over two years since the Season 2 finale. Din Djarrin then replies that he is going back to Mandalore. The camera cuts to Peli Motto waving goodbye to Din shouting over the roar of N1 starfighter that she fixed up for him, “May the Force be with you!”  In another brief shot, she is seen next to a certain R5 astromech droid, which could possibly be the same one that the Jawas were selling to Uncle Owen in A New Hope. As we know that Peli Motto has been close to Jawas in the past, so anything is possible.

Din Djarin asks Grogu (and viewers) if he is ready for an adventure, launching a short montage of fireworks, the N1 starfighter doing some nifty maneuvering, and what seems to be a flashback of Jedi advancing on a door with their lightsabers drawn. There are then scenes of other Mandalorians going into battle. Are these flashbacks, or are they new?  Is that Bo-Katan donning her helmet? Is that Moff Gideon striding down a dark corridor with dark troopers lined up on either side? As the video draws to a close, Din Djarin soothingly tells Grogu that he “will never be lost.”

Indeed, we will find our way to Disney+ on March 1, 2023 to catch the Season 3 premiere of The Mandalorian
