Star Wars: Visions, you officially have company. It was announced by Lucasfilm on Thursday that Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures will be premiering on Disney Junior and Disney+ on May 4, Star Wars Day. The preschool-aimed animated series is the first Star Wars series for that demographic.

It centers on Jedi younglings during the High Republic era and the prime of the Jedi Order as they study the ways of the Force, explore the galaxy, help anyone in need, and learn valuable skills needed to become Jedi along the way. The full cast was also revealed, following the announcement of Jamaal Avery, Jr. as Kai Brightstar and Emma Berman as Nash Durango at D23. They are joined by Juliet Donenfeld as Lys Solay, Dee Bradley Baker as Nubs, Jonathan Lipow as the droid RJ-83, and Piotr Michael as Master Yoda. Nubs is the blue furry one, so knowing Baker’s resume their manner of speaking could go either way.

Michael takes over the role of Yoda in the first major production to feature the Jedi Master following the retirement of Tom Kane, who was forced to retire from voice acting due to a November 2020 stroke that damaged his speaking abilities. He had voiced the character on TV and in video games for over 20 years, from 2000’s Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles to the both Clone Wars series to 2020’s Lego Star Wars Holiday Special and last year’s Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. While this will be Michael’s first performance as Yoda in an official capacity, his first overall was actually in an episode of Robot Chicken.

While the show’s linear timeslot and amount of episodes landing on Disney+ on the premiere date are unknown, it joins Star Wars: Visions as part of the Star Wars Day slate. It is also unknown what the full extent of the slate will be to celebrate. The franchise’s foray into preschool follows that of Marvel, with Spidey and His Amazing Friends which was renewed for a third season when its first was still airing last June. Young Jedi Adventures is executive produced by Lucasfilm’s James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, and Josh Rimes. Michael Olson of Puppy Dog Pals is the showrunner and executive producer.
