YouTuber, Adam the Woo, was found dead in his home in Florida on Monday, 22nd December. He was just fifty-one years old. He was discovered by a concerned friend who used a ladder to climb up to a third-floor window, and then alerted authorities when Woo was spotted unresponsive. Sadly, the authorities stated on arrival that he had already passed. The cause of death has yet to be announced, but fellow influencer Chris Yon wrote on Instagram that he had been with Adam just four days previously and that they had made plans to see each other in 2026.
Born in Lee County, Mississippi. Adam the Woo( aka David Adam Williams) was the son of a youth minister and a school bus driver. Due to his father’s work, the family was always on the move. Home-schooled and growing up without a television (until he was eleven), he found ways to make his own entertainment, which stood him in good stead for later life.
Adam the Woo was a first-gen content creator and started growing his account in 2006, just a year after YouTube launched. However, his channel exploded in 2009 when he embraced ‘van life’ and went exploring abandoned locations in the US. Three years later, he launched a second page, The Daily Woo, which focused on theme parks. The two accounts @The DailyWoo and @adamthewoo have over 100k subscribers between them. His final video, in which he shared the Christmas decorations in his hometown of Celebration, was uploaded the day before his death.
Content creators from all walks of life have come out to share their grief at his passing. Vlogger Justin Scarred stated, “The world has lost a giant and I have lost a friend closer to me than blood.”
