Rosario Dawson announced that Star Wars: Ahsoka - Season 2 will premiere in early 2027 on Disney+. Dawson, who portrays the titular character, Ahsoka Tano, took the stage at Disney’s Upfront Showcase yesterday, accompanied by Chopper, and the duo showed off a sizzle reel and behind-the-scenes images from Season 2, but fans will have to wait longer to have a look at Season 2. The sizzlereel reportedly features lots of space battles, lightsabers, and plenty of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker.
Christensen will return as Anakin Skywalker after his successful and highly appreciated appearances in Season 1. While the show’s second season is taking a lot longer than fans anticipated, Dawson acknowledged their love and said, “It’s truly special seeing all the love from fans out there for Ahsoka and her crew.” She promised fans that “this season, the battles are bigger and the stakes are higher. We cannot wait for you to see.” The exclusive first look at Season 2 also showed fights featuring Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. At Star Wars Celebration last year, Dave Filoni promised a confrontation between Admiral Ackbar and Grand Admiral Thrawn, as well as the return of Loth Cats. Dawson was carrying a Loth Kitten when she took the stage at Disney Upfront. Ahsoka Season 2 also stars Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati and Rory McCann as Baylan Skoll, replacing the late Ray Stevenson. While it is not clear exactly which month Ahsoka Season 2 will premiere on Disney+, it will be in the first quarter of 2027.
