The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that HBO is in the process of developing another Game Of Thrones spinoff series. It is reported that HBO will be partnering with Mattison Tomlin who did uncredited work on The Batman and is also co-writing The Batman Part II. He also is known to have written the Keanu Reeves adaptation BRZRKR and also an animated Terminator series which is on Netflix.

It is rumored that the new series will be focused on Aegon’s Conquest of Westeros. The story will focus on the newcomer Aegon Targaryen, who conquered the continent of Westeros with his sister, wives, and their dragons. In his invasion, he was able to unify six of the Seven Kingdoms in just two years. One source described the project as taking a back-to-the-basics approach to the Westeros universe. From previous history with the shows, it is unclear what this approach might mean.

Since the conclusion of Game of Thrones, there have been many ideas for spin-off shows. Two shows have been greenlit; House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. The latter show is set to begin production this year with the former premiering its second season this summer. It is rumored that the series involving Aegon Targaryen has been an idea since at least 2019.
