Avatar Studios Confirms That Their Second Animated Film Will Focus On Zuko And Will Be In Theaters In 2026

Sometimes rumors do come true. It looks like a Zuko movie from the new Avatar Studios is indeed coming to the silver screen.

According to Avatar News, their sources have confirmed that the second movie in the Avatar Studios lineup to come to theaters will in fact be the Zuko-focused movie. It had previously been reported that Avatar Studios plans to release one movie and then one show each year. The first movie was also originally reported to be a Kyoshi movie, but that was soon corrected and changed to an Adult Gaang movie. The movie will be then be followed by a new television show featuring a new Avatar after Korra. With the Adult Gaang movie and the Earthbender Avatar show debuting in 2025. This would put the Zuko movie on track for a 2026 release, as confirmed by Avatar News’ source.

Avatar News further speculates that the actual premiere date may be similar to the scheduled release date for the adult Team Avatar movie, which is scheduled to release in theaters on Friday, October 10th, 2025. If that pans out, they think the Zuko movie could drop on October 9th, 2026.

With the schedule of books, shows, and movies piling up for Avatar Studios, it is going to be an ATLA fan's dream going forward.
