'Blade Runner 2099' Teaser Drops At San Diego Comic-Con

“Welcome to a future we no longer control. Blade Runner 2099, a new series, premieres November 25 on Prime Video.“ That is the tagline for a new trailer that just launched today at San Diego Comic Con, then later reposted on YouTube. A New Blade Runner is coming soon. This is the second revival effort, after 2017’s Blade Runner 2047. Harrison Ford’s Rick Decker does not appear to be present, instead the main characters are Olwen (Michelle Yeoh) a Replicant Blade Runner at the end her life span, and her partner Cora (Hun Schafer), alongside two as of yet to be named characters played by Dimitri Abold and Lewis Gribben.

Blade Runner 2099 was first teased by director Ridley Scott back in 2021, claiming to have written a series bible with about ten episodes worth of content. It was officially greenlit in 2022, under its current name. Silka Luisa is credited as a writer and an executive producer. Eight episodes are planned for this miniseries. Not much is known about the story, but the trailer has plenty of details to keep fans excited. The future of Blade Runner is unknown at the moment, but that’s why this show is made, to reveal more of it.
