Metal Gear Solid is finally coming back in the form of a remake of the third installment of the original games. The game will feature the original voices and be called Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (also stylised as Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater). For Konami, the fans will play a big role in whether future Metal Gear Solid games will be produced. As of right now, there is no official release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Konami is aiming to release Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 in the Autumn of 2023.

The Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater story centers around Naked Snake. Naked Snake is a spy on a mission to find his mentor who has defected to the Soviet Union during the Cold War. The original game has garnered praise for its engaging plot, enjoyable mechanics, and iconic boss battles that have stood the test of time.

It has been confirmed by a representative from Konami that the most recent version of Metal Gear Solid was created without any input from Hideo Kojima or Yoji Shinkawa. This is not unexpected given the prior issues between Kojima and Konami. Konami's development team has been working hard on Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Fortunately, Metal Gear Solid will be accessible on many platforms instead of being restricted to a single gaming console.
