Disney Dates Untitled Film Releases For 2028 And 2029

Disney have made some dramatic changes to their 2028/2029 release schedule that will affect all of their major IPs. Marvel and Pixar fans, pay attention. According to Deadline, Disney has reserved a new slot for an untitled Disney movie on November 28th, 2028. Could this potentially be the Tangled live-action remake? Disney’s big movie 2027 will, of course, be Frozen 3, which releases on November 24th, and this is almost exactly a year later.

Another Disney movie that was due for a summer release (July 2028) has been moved up into ‘dump month’, February 2028. But we do know it’s not Incredibles 3 or Lilo & Stitch live-action remake, as they’ve already got their release dates locked in (May & June). They also revealed there’s a new Pixar movie coming in November 2029, as well as a new Disney animation.

An unnamed Marvel movie is moving out of the worst time slot of the year in 2028, from 18th February to 28th July. It’s a good bet that this is Black Panther 3, as Jeff Sneider accidentally revealed on a hot mic last summer that Feb was the expected release. A Nov 10th Marvel movie has been taken off the schedule completely. Fingers crossed that Armor Wars (which was supposed to have a late 2028 release) is doing okay.

There’s no mention of anything specific for Star Wars, but in 2029, Disney has added plenty of new mystery dates. Feb. 16, March 9, May 25, Aug. 3, Oct. 5, and Nov. 9 are all in the calendar without any IP attached. May 25, 2029, looks very much like a date of a Star Wars movie to us. Just saying.
