WARNING: SPOILERS FOR THE MANDALORIAN SEASON 3 EPISODE 5

The Mandalorian Season 3 has been a whirlwind so far, introducing new characters like the Pirate King Gorian Shard, and bringing back others like Elia Kane, and Kelleran Beq. From the released trailers, fans already know that Paul Sun-Hyung Lee’s Carson Teva will eventually make an appearance in the series. What no one expects are three familiar faces spotted in the episode.

After Captain Teva views Greef Karga’s distress message, a tall figure approaches. There has to be more than one Lasat in the galaxy, correct?

Steve Blum returns to reprise the role of Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios from Star Wars Rebels. This is not the first time the “MandoVerse” brings back characters from animated form to live-action. Corey Burton returned to portray the infamous bounty hunter Cad Bane in The Book of Boba Fett. With the premiere of Ahsoka on the horizon, the appearance of one of the Ghost crew members is sure to drum up fan excitement.

The creative minds behind The Mandalorian are not ones to shy away from appearing in their own works either. Sharp eyes (along with a fast finger on the pause button) will catch two other familiar faces in the scene with Captain Teva.

Deborah Chow is clearly shown with a drink in her hand. However, there is only a shadowy glimpse of Dave Filoni in his iconic hat. Captain Teva’s former wingman Trapper Wolf did not appear behind his fighter’s controls despite Teva flying his X-wing throughout the episode.

All the cameos mentioned here are confirmed in the end credits. These sightings are only the frosting on the discussion that is sure to follow the episode, which raises many questions as to what will transpire in the series.
