The Friday the 13th series is inarguably one of the most iconic in all of horror. Between the original ten films, a crossover with Freddy, a reboot, and tons of other outside materials, such as comics, the juggernaut known as Jason Voorhees has been hacking and slashing to massive cultural success for forty-five years. In 2020, Scream Factory released the ultimate Friday the 13th box set, which Bloody Disgusting describes as “The 16-disc box set includes all 12 films in the iconic slasher franchise, each housed in its own Blu-ray case with original theatrical artwork. They’re collected in a rigid slipcover with artwork by Devon Whitehead alongside a 40-page booklet featuring essays and archival photography.”
And all of that is just scratching the surface.
However, the time seems to have passed in regards to getting a hold of a copy of this behemoth of a box set. The Scare Factory and Amazon pages for the set have it as sold out, and there’s no reason to suspect that will change. If you’re still hoping beyond hope that you can get it for yourself, it is still available on third party sites like eBay. For the official release, however, Friday has ended.
