The future is looking fairly bright for the Disney+ animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. The first season was originally released in 2025. The show was renewed for a second season, but the release date is 2027, leaving a significant gap between seasons and leaving many fans wondering whether the story will continue and whether they'll have to wait another long time. During the 2026 New York Comic Con, series creator Jeff Trammell spoke to Collider about the fate of the show and where things are going.
Trammell discussed the plot of the upcoming season and what he looks forward to upon its release (via Collider): "I'm really excited for people to see more from Nico Minoru this season. She's a big part of Season 2, and I think people are really going to dig what we're doing with her. Eddie Brock, I'm a huge Eddie Brock fan. It was announced that Josh Keaton is playing Eddie Brock, so I'm excited for people to see what he's doing, as well as... Norman's up to some stuff that I'm really excited about as well."

An exact timeline has not been officially revealed for seasons three and four; season three will reportedly release a year after season two, and season four a year after season three.
