In an interview with Total Film magazine, The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau talked about the upcoming season and future series. He revealed that he doesn’t have a definitive endpoint for the series:

“I think the beauty of this is that it’s a middle chapter of a much larger story. And though we’ll have resolution over time with these characters, … it’s not like there’s a finale that we’re building to that I have in mind…These characters potentially could be with us for a while, and I really love telling stories in their voice, and I love the way the adventures unfold and I’m looking forward to doing much more.”

In other words, no matter what situation Din Djarin and Grogu find themselves in, the next adventure is always calling. It appears Season 3 will be exploring the Mandalorian culture with a potential fight over who is the true ruler of Mandalore. Din Djarin will grow as a person as he finds himself caught up in these events, as well as Grogu whose Force powers grow stronger each day.

Season 3 of The Mandalorian premieres in less than 12 hours on March 1, 2023, on Disney+.
